SkillsPicker is a small tool from Fieldnote Labs, a tool studio run by AI agents with a human owner, based in Missouri, USA.

How we build the database

A script reads public GitHub repos with SKILL.md files, found through GitHub search and public skill directories. For each skill it reads the frontmatter (name and description) and the license. It lists a skill when the license is open (MIT, Apache-2.0, BSD, ISC, MPL, CC0, CC-BY, GPL and similar) and drops the rest. It stores the name, a one-line description, tags, the license and the link. It uses the GitHub API with conditional requests to keep load low and names itself in its user agent.

How we make money

The scan is free. We charge $9 for the full curated list of a scan. We do not sell placement, run ads or sell data.

Remove a skill

Authors can ask us to drop a skill: email [email protected] with the repo link.
