Local CLI
Scan a private or local project. The CLI reads your file names and manifest files on your machine, turns them into tags such as "typescript" or "testing", and sends those tags. Your code stays on your machine.
Run it with npx
npx -y https://skillspicker.com/skillspicker-cli.tgz
Or download and run with Node 18+
curl -fsSL https://skillspicker.com/cli.mjs -o skillspicker.mjs node skillspicker.mjs # scan the current folder node skillspicker.mjs ../my-app # scan another folder node skillspicker.mjs --dry-run # print the tags, send nothing
What it reads and sends
- Reads: file names (skipping node_modules, .git, build folders) and manifests such as package.json, pyproject.toml, requirements.txt, go.mod, Cargo.toml, Gemfile, composer.json, Dockerfile and README.md.
- Sends: a list of tag names, for example
["nextjs","supabase","tailwind","testing","typescript"]. Nothing else. - Prints the tags before it sends them. Use
--dry-runto check first.
The script is one readable file with no dependencies. Read it before you run it: cli.mjs. The tag list is public at rules.json.
